Triola Aina Foundation to Empower 10 Indigenous Scholars in Osun, Nigeria

Triola Aina Foundation has announced a flagship initiative to empower indigenous scholars in Osun state, Nigeria. The objective of the Fola Aina Scholars Programme is to address inequalities in access to education, educational infrastructure and education funding in rural communities. Launching with an initial focus on rural communities in Osun state, Nigeria, the first edition will equip ten indigenous scholars in the secondary and tertiary level across Boluwaduro, Ila and Ifedayo local government areas (LGAs) of Osun state, for educational excellence. Five scholars from both categories will be shortlisted and admitted into the Scholars Programme and have access to specially curated educational activities and engagements that will enrich their educational experience.

Eligibility

  • Applicants should hail from Boluwaduro, Ila and Ifedayo LGAs (Must provide LGA Attestation certificate).
  • Must be resident in one of the listed LGAs and able to provide proof of address (utility bill etc).
  • Must be within the age bracket: 11 – 17 (high school category) and 18 – 25 (undergraduate category).
  • Must provide Proof of age/Birth Certificate.
  • Provide Institutional affiliation in a government registered school (for Undergraduates/High School).
  • Demonstrate consistent academic excellence progression over 2 terms in Osun state (high school) and over 3 semesters (undergraduate)

Scholarship Awards
Each scholar will be presented with a scholarship award. Junior Scholars will receive ₦50,000 annually towards their education while Senior Scholars will receive ₦100,000 annually towards their education.

Continuity of these scholarships is subject to satisfactory academic performance.
